Shock and fear engulfed Miraga village in Katharaka, Chogoria Ward of Tharaka Nithi County after the body of an unidentified middle aged man was discovered in a Napier grass plantation.
Residents were in shock as they gathered at the scene where the body of the man lay with deep cuts on the head and other parts of the body while the scene also had signs indicating struggle before the killing.
While Confirming the incident, Kithare Sub-location Assistant Chief Elizabeth Kaunda said the body was moved to Chuka Referral Hospital Morgue awaiting identification and post mortem while the police launch investigations into the murder.
