‎Igembe North MP Julius Taitumu has reaffirmed his commitment to improving education standards in the constituency by investing in projects that create a conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

‎Speaking at Naikuriu Senior School during the official commissioning of the school’s new dining hall and the handover of a 67-seater school bus, Taitumu described education as the greatest investment parents and leaders can make for future generations.

‎He said his office will continue prioritizing development projects that enhance access to quality education and improve learning conditions across all schools in the constituency.

‎”Today I officially handed over Bus Number Four to Naikuriu Senior School and commissioned the school’s new dining hall. I sincerely thank the Head of Institution, the teaching staff, the Board of Management, students, parents, non-teaching staff, and the entire Naikuriu community for their cooperation and support in making this day a success,” said Taitumu.

‎The legislator praised fellow leaders, including Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi and nominated MP Dorothy Muthoni, for their continued support towards strengthening the education sector.

‎He noted that collaborative efforts among leaders are helping transform education in the constituency and the country by creating opportunities for learners to excel academically.

‎”Together, we are building a brighter future for the next generation. I urge all education stakeholders to continue investing in education to ensure our learners have a bright future,” he said.

‎Before joining politics, Taitumu served for many years as a Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) official at both the local and national levels, a background he said continues to shape his passion for education.

‎He emphasized that the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) will continue financing projects that eliminate barriers to learning and improve school infrastructure.

‎Members of the school’s Board of Management welcomed the projects, saying the new 67-seater bus will ease transport challenges during national examinations, co-curricular activities, and educational trips.

‎They added that the new dining hall will enhance hygiene standards and comfortably serve the school’s growing population of more than 800 students.
