A deputy headteacher has died after being struck by helicopter blades in Masalani, Garissa County.
Confirming the incident, Garissa County Commissioner Solomon Chesuti said Mr. Ahmed Nur Ismail had just picked the papers at the deputy county commissioner’s office when the unfortunate incident happened.
He said the teacher was near the helicopter as it took off.
“The deputy headteacher was picking papers for Masalani Secondary School when the accident happened and after accessing the scene we have handed over the body to the family for burial in-line with the Muslim practices,” said Mr Chesuti.
The unfortunate incident happened just a day after two helicopter accidents at Wajir International Day which left six people injured.
