Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya leader Raila Odinga embarked on a week-long business and personal trip to the United Kingdom on Friday.
According to Raila’s spokesperson, Dennis Onyango, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) plans to utilize this trip to connect with friends, family, and business contacts, as well as to take some much-needed rest and relaxation, which he often doesn’t get the chance to do at home.
Prior to his departure, Raila had participated in the recently concluded Devolution Conference, during which he delivered a speech.
In this speech, he voiced criticism against remarks made by US Ambassador Meg Whitman.
Whitman had commended the August elections, hailing them as the most open and credible in the nation’s history. This has prompted concerns among certain critics regarding the ongoing Kenya Kwanza-Azimio talks.
