The Presbyterian Church Men’s Fellowship (PCMF) from PCEA Ndagani Parish lit up the spirits of patients at the Chuka County Referral Hospital today in a heartwarming Valentine’s Day gesture.
The men dedicated their Wednesday morning to spreading love and joy among the patients, sharing moments of prayer and companionship.
Rev. Felix Muthomi Nyaga expressed the group’s commitment to showing compassion to those in need, saying “We decided to spend this day of love with these patients as a gesture of care and solidarity, praying together and wishing them a speedy recovery”.
Accompanied by gifts of fresh fruits, a wall clock, and bibles, the men aimed to uplift the spirits of the patients, demonstrating the church’s dedication to serving the community.
Rev. Felix emphasized the church’s close partnership with the county government and the hospital, pledging to strengthen collaboration in the future.
In response, Dr. Mariga Shadrach, speakong on behalf of the hospital’s medical superintendent, extended heartfelt appreciation to the PCMF men for their selfless act.
He called upon other organizations and stakeholders to follow suit, underlining the significance of such gestures in the recovery process.
“We are calling on other stakeholders and partners to emulate what the PCMF men have done today, since this is an important act of service and an extension of love to the patients who need such care and love even in their recovery process,” he urged.
