Germany, Italy, and Japan have some of the largest economies in the world with a combined nominal GDP equal to 13.2% of global output.
At the same time, they are also three of the oldest countries right now in terms of the median age of their populations with both having a current median age of above 47.5 years.
These countries are each projected to hit a median age of 50 years or higher by the year 2050. Indeed a very frail population or workforce.
Currently Africa has a median age of 18years. A very youthful continent. This means Africa will soon conquer Europe, North America, South America, Oceania & Asia not with guns but through the might of her youthful populations.
The Median ages for Europe is (42yrs), North America(36yrs), South America(33yrs), Oceania (34yrs), Asia (31yrs) and Africa (18 yrs). This means these countries are aging too fast and it’s a matter of time that African populations will migrate to fill the void. Headlines will say, “Africa colonizes the world via the cleavage of Age”.
Due to decline in disposable working energy among their populations in these developed countries, their economies will start declining & in dire need of workforce to keep them going thus necessitating an avalanche of influx of migrant workers from Africa to rescue these developed economies.
Going forward it is age that matters in the international political economy and not the sophistication of military weapons. The African youthful population is the global carrot that will keep the world going.
African nations should now as a matter of urgency, begin aligning their youthful population in tandem with the impending market-skill demands of those economies for future bumper harvest.
