Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki has expressed gratitude to President William Ruto for naming Prof. Kithure Kindiki in his new cabinet members nominees.
In a state of the nation address today, President William Ruto named the first batch of his new cabinet, where Kindiki is among 6 Cabinet Secretaries who have been reappointed.
“On behalf of the people of Tharaka Nithi I want to take this opportunity to thank President William Ruto for recognizing the hardwork our son Kithure Kindiki has done in the first years of the Kenya Kwanza government and his decision to restore him back to his position of CS Interior”, Governor Njuki said.
In a press statement to media houses, Njuki assured President Ruto that the region was satisfied with the re-appointment as requested and thanked him for the consideration.
“To Kithure Kindiki, continue working for this country and remember Tharaka Nithi and the region as you also help the President deliver on his agenda”, he said.

• Dr Debra Mulongo Barasa – Health
• Alice Wahome – Lands
• Aden Duale – Defence
• Davis Chirchir – Transport
• Rebecca Miano – Attorney General
• Environment – Soipan Tuya
• Education – Julius Migosi
• Eric Muriithi – Water
• Dr Margaret Ndungu- ICT
• Andrew Karanja – Agriculture
Njuki has on previous occassions praised Kindiki for battling and containing major security threats in the country including banditry and terrorism that had long been a threat to national security before Kindiki’s appointment by President William Ruto after the 2022 general elections.
Just recently, Governor Njuki together with County Assembly leadership from Tharaka and Meru counties came out in support of Kithure Kindiki’s reinstatement as CS.
