Former Machakos County Clerk and Tharaka Nithi politician has today been found dead in his vehicle with gunshot injuries at Kanyuambora, Embu County.
Mr. Felix Gitari Mbiuki Kararwa who was a gubernatorial aspirant in the last general elections was found by villagers of Kanganga with gunshot injuries on his head, inside his vehicle KCT 086H as confirmed by Mbeere- North Sub County Commander Eric Yego.
Mr. Yego said that residents grew suspicious after they noticed the car that had been parked at the scene for some time only to peep and notice a man lying inside unconscious bleeding from the head.
“They called us immediately, we came in took the body to the morgue and have since commenced investigation on what transpired,” he added.
The Deceased who is also a businessman and runs Gitari Mbiuki Foundation has been mourned by Tharaka Nithi Politicians among them Maara Mp Kareke Mbiuki, Former VC Chuka University and gubernatorial candidate Prof. Erastus Njoka.
Kareke said the deceased has been a friend since his days at Thika Municipality clerk before he joined Machakos as the first clerk of Machakos County Assembly.
“Gitari was not just a principled politician but also a true patriot who dedicated himself to serving the great Tharaka Nithi County and his presence will be sorely with a legacy that will forever live in our hearts,” mourned the MP.
While joining the Mp in passing his condolences, the former VC said the deceased had offered his leadership skills in various capacity.
“Felix Gitari Mbiuki has for a long time dedicated his life to serving the great people of Tharaka Nithi County especially the vulnerable through his transformative foundation,” added the University Don.
