In a shocking incident a family dispute turned deadly after 71-year-old Fabiano Kaburu allegedly killed his 28-year-old son, Cliff Mwenda in Mauruchiu village, Iruma Location.
The tragic event transpired when the deceased confronted his elderly father, demanding money.
According to police reports, the confrontation escalated when the elder brother, Gitonga Kaburu, intervened to rescue his father from the physical assault by the younger son.
However, the situation took a gruesome turn when Cliff Mwenda redirected his aggression towards Gitonga, resulting in severe injuries.
Faced with an overpowering situation, Fabiano Kaburu, in an attempt to defend himself and his elder son, reportedly took a panga from Cliff Mwenda, and attacked him leading to fatal injuries.
Gitonga Kaburu is currently recovering from deep cuts on his chest, shoulders, legs, and hands.
Fabiano Kaburu, the father, is now in police custody as investigations into the tragic incident are underway.
Meanwhile, the lifeless body of Cliff Mwenda has been transferred to the Chuka referral hospital mortuary.
