Four Deputy County Commissioners (DCCs) have been transferred from Tharaka Nithi County in a major shake-up.
A total of 204 DCCs have been transferred countrywide from their current stations according to a list released by the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government on June 23, 2023.
Mr Abdi Fatah Mohamud has been moved from Tharaka South Sub-County to Bungoma while Gathungu Macharia has been transferred from Turkana Central to Maara replacing Josephine Kihara who has been moved to Nyandarua.
Muthambi’s Peter Mboce Maina has been moved to Turkana North and replaced by Esther Njeri Mwaura from Nyamache while Chuka DCC Mpembe Nkaduda is the new Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Personal Assistant.
Mr Felix Kioko from Narok South has been transferred to Tharaka North.
In the statement, Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki stated that the changes take effect immediately.
