The Tharaka-Nithi County Government, in collaboration with Child Fund, Child Rise, and Longhorn Publishers, has successfully conducted phase two of a comprehensive training program for over 300 Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers from 149 schools in Chuka and Maara.
The initiative, led by Chief Officer Jonathan Mwiti from the Department of Education and Vocational Training, also included the official handover of course books and teachers’ guides.
This effort aims to further support teachers and enhance the quality of early childhood education in the region and equipping ECDE teachers.
According to the County Government, the exercise is imperative for effective Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) teaching, ensuring the youngest learners in Tharaka-Nithi receive the best start to their educational journey.
