Family Demands Justice for 12-Year-Old Boy Brutally Attacked in Tharaka Nithi County
The family of a 12-year-old boy from Kithuri village in Muthambi, Tharaka Nithi County, is demanding justice following a vicious attack that left him injured.
According to the boy’s mother, last Thursday, he was sent to a poshomill at Karigini Market to grind maize flour.
On his way back, he was confronted by three men who demanded the flour and the little cash he had as change. When the boy refused, they began to beat him and later injured his genitalia.
The mother revealed that her son did not immediately report the incident to her. However, teachers and pupils at his school noticed his unusual walking style on Friday.
Concerned, they took him to Muthambi Health Centre, and later he was referred to Chuka Hospital. X-rays at the hospital revealed severe damage to his testicles.
The boy is reportedly experiencing difficulty in walking, sitting, and even speaking. Villagers noted that he has been experiencing difficulty in urinating since the day of the attack.
