The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction of Ksh.5 in both super petrol and diesel prices during its monthly review, effective midnight Monday, 15 January 2024.
This price adjustment extends to various regions, providing relief to consumers.
According to the latest adjustments, super petrol in Nairobi will now cost Ksh.207.36 per litre, while diesel and kerosene will be priced at Ksh.196.47 and Ksh.194.23 per litre, respectively, for the next 30 days.
In Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County, super petrol rates stand at Kshs 209.11, diesel at Kshs 198.22, and kerosene at Kshs 195.98 per litre.
In Meru, the rates stand at Kshs 210.68 for super petrol, Kshs 199.79 for diesel, and Kshs 197.55 for kerosene.
Meanwhile, in Embu, the prices are set at Kshs 208.54 for super petrol, Kshs 197.66 for diesel, and Kshs 195.41 for kerosene.
During the review period, EPRA also announced a decrease in the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices, with super petrol, diesel, and kerosene seeing reductions of Kshs.5.00, Kshs.5.00, and KShs.4.82 per litre, respectively.
These adjustments reflect EPRA’s commitment to transparent pricing and responsiveness to global fuel market fluctuations.
