Tharaka Nithi Women Representative Susan Ngugi has urged the church to be in the fore front in preaching peace and unity in the country.
Speaking during a fundraiser at Seventh Day Adventist Church North East Kenya Field headquarters at Riiji in Meru County, Ms Ngugi said religious leaders have a great role in uniting the country especially in the disputed prone areas.
“I am appealing to religious leaders to preach unity in our country,” said Ms Ngugi.
She asked the congregants to participate in improving the church infrastructure.
The event brought together SDA churches from 6 counties in NEKF with Benjamin Mutugi as the President.
