A 26-year-old man has reportedly committed suicide by hanging in Chogoria, Maara Sub-county.
The lifeless body of Amani Njagi Murithi was found dangling from the roof-top of their family house in Mpuri village on Thursday morning.
Confirming the shocking incident, Kianjagi Assistant Chief Victor Mutugi said it was to immediately establish what pushed the young man from taking his life but police had launched investigations.
“We have lost a young man through hanging and were are not able to establish what compelled him to commit suicide because he didn’t even leave a suicide note,” said Mr Mutugi.
The deceased was a student at Muraga Technical College studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering course.
Though he was an ongoing student, the late was already doing welding in the village.
The administrator urged youths to be sharing their challenges for counseling to avoid such cases which cause more pain to the kins.
Police moved the body PCEA Chogoria Hospital mortuary awaiting postmodern to establish what exactly cause the death.
Amani has left wife and one child.
