A middle aged man and a lady are being held at Chogoria Police Station after they were nabbed in possession of 94 rolls of bhang in Kaururu village, Mukwego Sub-location in Tharaka Nithi County.
The man identified as Daudi Mugambi and a lady whose name is yet to be known were cornered by Chogoria Chief George Mutembei after a tip off by members of the public .
Mutembei told the peak that he had been spying the area for long after a public out cry on the matter, with a number of unsuccessful attempts to arrest the culprits since they were mostly not in possession of the drug.
He insisted that the bhang peddlers and other drugs sellers had no space in Chogoria.
This comes weeks after NACADA highlighted Chogoria Town and its environs as bhang hotspots in the county.
